I got this deal for 170 bucks. Refurbished of course. The package was well made, and the card itself looks like new.Clean, no bending or wear usage. For me was a new one.The only thing that I do not give 5 starts is because the card require a 6+2 power cord, and it came with none. Enforcing me to go out and get one. Also I had to deal with bad cables as well from local suppliers.Would be a good help to include one next time. For the rest is good. 6G card is all you need to regular heavy usage. Not triple aaa for 2022 perhaps but good enough for the rest. I use it with a 2k monitor (2560x1080) and second hd (1080) one.Just 15% usage. Considering that I use a video as wallpaper background (both monitors, very demanding background usage, I know). But is paused once I launch full screen apps. For me is all I was looking for. Paired with a AMD 5800x and 64gigs of ram. Plenty resources for casual gaming and heavy workstation usageI've owned this GPU for a good two years now, and it still works like a charm. It is able to maintain a steady framerate (I have a 144hZ monitor) on many games that aren't incredibly demanding. I tend to get 80-120 frames on Forza Horizon 4 with High/Ultra settings. I will say that over these two years I've encountered several occasional and brief blackscreens and a graphics driver malfunction, which then forced me to uninstall and reinstall said graphics driver from a black screen. This isn't necessarily the card's fault though.Five out of five stars, no question. Perfect for a midrange PC.I have only owned this product for a single day. It installed easily. The software went in easily. I do not do gaming. I bought this because I needed greater resolution from a 32 inch 4K monitor. I was hoping I would see a decent picture from it. I did. It seems to work perfectly for me. As I said, no gaming. I use two monitors and this drives them nicely. The fans don't seem to run. I put my fingers into this board as far as they could go to feel for heat. This thing runs very cool. I would expect it to heat up if I used it for gaming. Moving pictures around in photoshop and using an html editor work very well with this board. I also use this for PCB designing and writing C++ code. All the graphics involved with the PCB editor move around without a glitch. I cannot forecast how long it will run. I do know that heat is the enemy of semiconductors. Maybe I will luck out because I do not stress it with gaming. I hope to use it for several years. My PCB design software uses the GPU to augment the cpu when it is deciding how to run all my traces. Holy s***. My traces are now drawn in an instant. Having a GPU to augment your desktop cpu is a very nice feature of some software out there. Another feature I like about this board is that it is surrounded by plastic. This helps keep some inadvertent screwdriver touch from frying the board. I can say that I am very happy with my purchase. I will try to remember to update this review in six months. My Wife has an old Asus Essentio CM6730-08 from Best Buy, that we bought in 2012. We upgraded the stock GT 630 to a 1050 2GB (shown in one of the pictures) and it has been serving her well. Today I put the 1660 OC in it, and oh... my... god... After uninstalling and reinstalling GeForce Experience, it set most games to High or Highest and we're getting 1080p 60fps locked! On an i7-3770 (non K). All the sudden we're not as rushed to upgrade her computer. We definitely plan on doing that eventually though, and using this card in the new build. For 220 dollars, I don't think you can go wrong with this card!UPDATE: It's September 2019 and this card is a new home! A Ryzen 5 1600. Destiny 2 on Low preset, we get about 100 to 144fps depending on the area. This card is AMAZING for 60fps, and just OKAY for 144fps. I'm pushing 500+ mhz on the memory and 100mhz on the gpu clock in MSI AfterBurner. It hits a steady 2050mhz boost at 50 degrees with fans at 100 percent. In my Wife's case, you can't hear the GPU fans. Now that she has a 144hz monitor, I definitely plan on finding a 1070ti or above to get the most out of the 144hz monitor. This GPU will not do that. My 1070ti STRIX (pushing 185 overclock on gpu clock, and 500 on memory), gets 144fps MOST of the time. Only certain areas and activities cause it to dip below 144. I can't speak for the ti version of the 1660, so I'd get a high end 1070 ti or above if you want more than 90fps.Honestly nothing I can dislike about this card, Installed easy, came right up with the generic drivers, then installed the official drivers.I can play most my games on max settings. Fallout 4, Arma 3, Just Cause 3. I think I had to tweak Just Cause 4 and GTA5 down from Ultra high to High, but they still look beyond Impressive. If you are not looking to shell out $700+ on a VR graphics card then this card will work well and not disappoint. The PC is a simple HP Envy 700, not a 'Gaming tower' with stock fans and a box that was probably not designed for maximum airflow. I mention this because even gaming for a few hours on max, I can hear the fan kick up as expected but it is by no means is it loud or unreasonable. (PC is right by my feet)I'm writing this review because I was just recommending this to my friend and had the pull up the listing. #HonestReviewsI had a really bad experience with a newly purchased MSI Armour RX580..really bad color display, etc, and this card right out of the box handled my 3 monitor system, producing all the right colors. You get an option when installing the drivers whether or not you are gaming or video editing. I video edit, and the Studio driver is the one I installed. Looks great. The only downside is it seems this card was $200 cheaper not too long ago..seems a bit high in it's range, but at least I don't have to battle the color calibration anymore. Also, this card has 3 Display ports and 1 HDMI. If you want to access your BIOS make sure you have the main screen plugged into the HDMI. For some reason Display adapters are causing a freeze to occur when accessing the BIOS on certain Motherboards, and it's not just this card, but many.I bought this for just under £360, to me that's a big price but with these GPUs nowadays they're extremely expensive. I bought this to upgrade from my GTX 970 4GB. Works well and quiet unless I'm playing a game that puts the graphics card to the test which is only one and it's the games fault not the GPU. Very pleased with this GPU. If I need to, would be very happy to purchase again.Absolutely amazing, a bit over priced but well worth it. My boyfriend is very happy with his new graphics card. Going from a gtx 1060 3gb to a gtx 1660 6gb is a big step up. Would definitely recommend this card and the seller to anyone who wishes to purchase a cardspend another 10k , and realized that windows can never detect this card, also when I try to install driver it screen goes black and everything freezes . I tried to restart it would stuck after bios on black screen . and then my motherboard failed and so did my HDD . went to shop to get a new motherboard so I can check the GPU . and another motherboard in shop failed but we figured out HDD was corrupt too . and everything way running fine before installing this card . then shopkeeper installed a new motherboard and had to buy a new hdd too . now when I tried to install the driver my screen went black and computer froze . I removed the card and opted for return . I HOPE nobody has this luck .Easy to install in new build.Sons happh with product
